5 Rules for becoming a Teen Tycoon:
Create your ultimate goal: your ability to imagine. You literally can play “the eye” and think of what is that you can imagine within your lifetime. I imagine we will have power suites and will become a bunch of people in power suites, congregating around the special stations in the morning to power the suites, coffee at hand. Sounds crazy? Just watch!
Tycoons disrupt the norm without exception. They take chances and create changes with their ideas. Michael Jordan missed 9000 shots in his career – imagine if he quit after the first 1000? Dr. Seuss was denied by 27publishers – imagine if he stops looking after the first 10? Remember, you don’t have to be great to get started, but you do have to take a chance to get started to be great.
You cannot choose what you want to do in life randomly! You lose valuable time in life trying to figure out what is that you want to become. Find your talents first and master those skills. Then use this mastery to build a career. If you understand and use this concept, you can go on to make millions.
There’s a quality that young Tycoons must work on – it’s called “sticktoitiveness”. Remember, it’s not the step 1 but the step 1022 that really matters. When my business coach asked me about how much I wanted my business to work, I answered, “100%!” He said, “Great. In this case, it really doesn’t matter whether it takes you 6 years to build it or 60. The decision has already been made!”
Tycoons make an impact. They create the aura of personal power (hence we stand in line for Jordans shoes and wait overnight for the new iPhone to be released). Tycoons go from living in the effect, to living in the cause. They create their life, create things they want to have, and in turn, influence lives of millions of people.
